OWNER & MASSAGE THERAPIST

Emilie is the owner and massage therapist at Eminence Therapeutic Massage. Her lifelong passion for improving peoples’ quality of life led her to become a massage therapist at a young age. She enjoys helping members of the community by improving mobility, providing pain management and the relief of stress and anxiety.

Successfully obtaining her massage therapy diploma from Grant McEwan University in 2012, Emilie worked in various clinical settings alongside chiropractors and other health professionals. In the pursuit of growth and development she sought out a more prosperous work setting and in 2018 a following of clients saw her launch her own practice. Emilie regularly attends educational courses to improve her knowledge base and skill level.

Taking special interest in chronic pain issues Emilie appreciates that each individual's physical concerns present a new opportunity for her to grow, learn and problem solve. The body is very powerful, typically healing itself within a few days to a few months. When pain persists past that point it presents a challenge that can be managed or overcome with ongoing therapeutic support.

Emilie's also experienced in prenatal massage - a service of great benefit to the community of Fort Saskatchewan. Prenatal massage can significantly reduce the pain and strain caused by pregnancy. It soothes anxiety and relaxes the muscles thus improving sleep quality - all to ensure a woman is strengthened and prepared for delivery.

Emilie loves seeing her clients experience the positive results of her work through their improved range of motion or their subjective pain level as she delivers their care with empathy and high quality treatments.
